Remember the Eyes

If you have concerns with the area around your eyes such as fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, or dark circles, consider using an eye cream.

Eye creams are formulated to address specific concerns, so read the label carefully before choosing a product. If your main concern is puffiness, choose a product with caffeine which tightens the skin. For dark circles, look for ingredients like vitamin K, kojic acid, and hydroquinone. A cream with peptides or antioxidants help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (also known as crow’s feet).

Because the skin under the eyes is thin and delicate, handle with care when applying eye cream. Using your ring finger, apply a pea-sized amount of product. Starting at the inner corner of your eye, lightly pat around the eye area. Avoid pulling and tugging.

An eye cream can yield great results when included as part of your daily skin care regimen. The key is choosing a product formulated to address your specific concern and using it consistently.
